Bom and raised on Oahu, Sabre Kennedy comes to us after spending the past fifteen years learning and fine tuning his passion of culinary arts on the mainland. Chef Sabre was involved in opening fifteen restaurants all over the Pacific including Washington, California, and Hawaii. He worked the corporate side of the food industry for many years, but preferred the small privately owned restaurants where he could let his craft flourish. Seafood and fishing were a part of Sabre's growing up which is reflected in his signature dishes. He even started up his own catering company after fans of his skills were requesting his delicious food at their events.
Sabre spent his last five years on the mainland as Executive Chef for the renowned Landmark Steakhouse in Newport Beach, where his cooking was called "a masterful work of culinary artistry." The Chef was then given the opportunity to bring his talent home to the islands with the opening of famous local chef, Roy Yamaguchi's Tavern, on Kauai's north shore. Spending a year getting to know the island and creating connections in the dining industry there, he joins us to start a new chapter in his culinary career. As General Manager, Sabre brings the missing link between our business and our clients by being able to connect with the chefs from their perspective. His passion as a chef is now reflected with Garden Isle Seafood; he loves the opportunity to share his recipes and give advice to co-workers and clients alike.
